Capstone for Global Leadership and Team Decision Making |
This class ties together our experiences and allows us to reflect on the meaning of global leadership. It was also our first class, where we established our assumptions about what we would learn during the program. We held in-class discussions and got familiar with Czech culture through a city-wide team scavenger hunt. This is when we were introduced to the concept of leadership mindsets, as well as team structure and authenticity.
The video above was an introductory assignment for the class, outlining several goals I had for the program; immersion, balancing academics and experiential learning, and developing both maturity and perspective.

Strategic Management and Decision-Making in Textiles |
For this class we had both a Czech professor and a German NCSU professor. Comparing the two styles of teaching on both a professional and cultural level gave us many opportunities for discussion. Through a rigorous business simulation we learned about ethics, teamwork, and the importance of reflection, while the excursions and in-class learning were focused on strategic management.
